What I Bought From Walt Disney World

So I'm just about adjusting to life back in London after spending 2 wonderful weeks in Florida and I thought I'd do a little haul post to show you some of the goodies I picked up whilst at Walt Disney World! I literally spent all of the spending money I took...every last penny, and I could have spent more! My favourite item I picked up has got to be my Chip mug. Beauty and the Beast is my favourite Disney film and I couldn't wait to get one of these from Disney Springs. I still haven't decided whether I'll drink out of it yet or just use it as an ornament?

I couldn't go to Disney and not feed my Tsum Tsum addiction so I picked up these 3 cuties. I had planned to get the WDW Park limited edition Tsum's (monorail, train etc) but they didn't have them anymore which I was gutted about! I got Rapunzel as I didn't have her yet, Duffy and the bride from the Haunted Mansion who is pretty cool! To be honest there weren't many Tsum Tsum's around in Florida I don't think they're that big in America, they had a really poor selection in Target and JC Penney's which was disappointing.

How awesome is this Disney Monopoly?! We didn't plan on getting this but we saw it at the toy shop in Disney springs and thought it was too cool not to get. I think every family needs a monopoly board and it just so happens ours is Disney! It has a pop up castle in the middle of the game and the pieces are Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie. The board is based around the parks so you buy rides instead of towns and if you build a hotel the piece is a Disney castle!

I couldn't believe how many pin badges there were, I knew they were popular but not this popular! I don't collect the pins ( this space) but I thought this one was way cute so had to pick it up. Some of the pins can be pretty expensive but I thought this one was pretty special.

Olly loves any kind of 'mystery' purchase, so when he saw this mystery princess pin set he really wanted to buy it for me, even though I'm usually really against these as I always end up with the rubbish characters. Basically Olly just likes seeing my reaction when I get the bad ones because I act like a baby haha. Anyway I did pretty well with this pack (it was tense) as I got Rapunzel and Pocahontas, neither of them are my favourite Disney characters but I like them both so I was happy.

And finally our Disney Magic Bands. We weren't staying at a Disney resort so we didn't get these free but mine was only $12.99 and Olly's was $22.99 (because his has Mickey printed on it - mine is plain) which I didn't think was bad at all considering how convenient they are. I'm going to do a full pot on tips for WDW so I'll talk more about these then and what they can be used for but they basically replace your ticket so you don't have to keep getting it out.

What I Got For My Birthday

It was my birthday a few weeks ago and so I thought I would share with you some of the gifts I received. I love reading other bloggers posts about what they got for their birthday so thought I would give it a go for myself. I didn't do too much on my actual birthday, just had a nice relaxed day with Olly, but in the week before I had several birthday dinners with friends and family which was lovely. On the morning of my birthday Olly came into the bedroom with an amazing chocolate cake he had bought for me from Wholefoods. It had lots of gold candles on it and I made a big wish when I blew them out. I then opened my presents from Olly which were wrapped in the cutest wrapping paper ever.

He bought me lots of little things as he knows I love opening presents! I love the 'grape soda' pin badge as Up is one of my favourite Disney films and is a film me and Olly went to see at the cinema together years ago before we were even going out, so it's quite a special film for us. A really cool present he got me was a voucher to adopt an animal from Born Free. I can choose which animal it is and I've had a look and think I might choose a turtle! One of my favourite presents from Olly is this Belle figurine, she is my favourite Disney princess and this is limited edition.

I guess my 'big' present from Olly was a gorgeous Swarovski bracelet. It's so sparkly and I love the dark blue colour. Later on I received a delivery which were some flowers Olly had ordered for me, they are the prettiest flowers in the world and look so lovely on my dressing table. Olly's sister Daisy got me a really cool Disney book all about the characters and films, I've already read a bit of it but can't wait to sit down and have a good read. My work colleagues got me a grey Kenzo jumper (which you may have seen me modelling in my Birthday Outfit Of The Day post!) and I absolutely love it.

My brother surprised me with a voucher for champagne afternoon tea at The Shard which I am so excited about! I'm going to take my mum when she visits London and have a girly afternoon. My other brother and sister in law got me some yummy chocolates from Hotel Chocolat as they know I am a bit of a chocoholic, oops. I got quite a big present from my mum and dad so I'll save that for a post of it's own as it deserves it!

What I'm Packing For Florida

So I was packing my case for 2 weeks in Florida and thought I would give you guys a sneak peak of what I'm taking with me. When I go on holiday I'm guilty of buying a whole new holiday wardrobe, but that's part of the fun right? It's going to be about 33 degrees in Florida so I've packed lots of light and airy clothing as well as practical and comfy outfits.

Pools and waterparks = lots of swimwear. I'm taking about 5 bikinis in total and I love these Triangl dupes that I bought from ebay (you can read more about them here!). I love sporty looking bikinis and my favourite is this long sleeved one that I got from Boo Hoo last year. It's perfect for Florida as it means my shoulders and arms won't get burnt, and I love the pattern

Comfy Shoes
Comfy shoes are a must in Florida. The parks are HUGE and that means a lot of walking and often spending all day on your feet. I've got 3 pairs of Disney Vans that I'm taking as well as my trusty converse. It's also good to have tight/lace up shoes as otherwise you have to take them off on all the rollercoasters which isn't ideal

Shorts, Shorts, Shorts
Shorts are my staple item in Florida. They are cool and comfy but also really practical for all the rides (because no one wants to be flashing their pants on Sheikra). I got loads of great shorts from Primark this year and I love the themed ones they have like this burgundy Harry Potter pair!

Park Essentials
I'm going to be taking my Longchamp backpack to all the parks as it's small, light and durable. Inside I'll definitely have my sun cream (yes that bottle says factor 70, I am very pale), park tickets, money and a bottle of water. I'll also be wearing my trusty Ray Ban Wayfarers and a cap to keep the sun off my face. This goofy cap is actually Olly's but of course I'm planning on stealing it!

What are your holiday essentials?

Birthday Outfit Of The Day

Today is my birthday! Yay! My birthday is my favourite day of the year and to celebrate last night me and Olly went out for dinner and cocktails, because on your birthday you can drink a million mojitos. Fact. I went for a casual look with statement shoes and handbag. My grey Kenzo jumper was a birthday gift from my work colleagues so this is the first time I wore it but it is sooo comfy, I just love a jumper. The colour means it is perfect for spring and will go with so many different outfits.

My white jeans are actually Primark's finest, proof you can mix high and and low end effortlessly. They were a steal at only £7 and I can tell I'm going to be wearing them loads this summer. On my feet I wore my beloved  black Valentino Rockstuds which are probably the comfiest heels I have ever owned and they just make any outfit look amazing. I love pairing them with jeans for an edgy look. I also wore my black Rockstud bracelet to match my shoes, which looks great either on it's own or stacked. My Givenchy small Antigona completed the look, I just love the shape of this bag and it's so good for everyday use.

Now I'm going to go and eat more cake (because calories don't count on your birthday ya know)

A Bobbi Brown Haul

As you probably know by now Bobbi Brown is my favourite make-up brand and I love trying out their new products. Recently I treated myself to a couple of new items that I'd wanted for a while so thought I would write a haul post. Here's what I picked up...

Skincare To Go - I've been wanting to try Bobbi Brown skincare for a while as I love the make-up but I have really sensitive skin so I don't like committing to buying expensive new products. When I saw they'd brought out a set of miniatures I was so excited to give some of the skincare a go. The set includes the hydrating face cream, hydrating eye cream, soothing cleansing oil and a sachet of skin smoothing pore perfector. I've been using these for about 2 weeks now and at first my skin felt really fresh and smooth but over the last couple of days I've started to get some dry patches, but I think this may just be my skin adjusting to something new. I couldn't find this set on the website but there are some miniatures available separately here

Shimmer Brick in Rose - I bought this as I'd read loads of good reviews and had tried it a couple of times before when I'd had my make-up done at a complimentary Bobbi Brown lesson. When I applied it myself at home it was much pinker than I remembered, especially as my skin is so pale. I wanted to mainly use this as a highlighter but I think it's actually more suitable as a blusher as it is quite pink. You can shop the Shimmer Brick here

Art Stick in Bright Raspberry - I am loving this! I wanted to try one for a while and finally took the plunge and I'm so glad I did. It'd kind of a mix between a lip liner and lipstick, pretty much like a big crayon which is fun. It's really easy to apply, great texture and lasts really well. I'll definitely be investing in some more colours. You can check out all the colours available here

Sheer Finish Pressed Powder in Soft Sand - This is a regular purchase for me as I use it on top of my foundation to set it. I apply it with the Bobbi Brown powder brush and it lasts well throughout the day without making me look too orange! You can buy the powder here

Have you splurged on any new make-up recently?

Hello Kitty Cupcakes

I really look forward to doing some baking on the weekend, especially when it is Hello Kitty themed! These cakes are just simple fairy cakes but I used Hello Kitty sugar paper toppers and little edible flowers and cupcakes to make them super kawaii. As usual I bought the Hello Kitty toppers from ebay and they were just over a pound for about 20 toppers. There were loads of different designs on ebay but I chose this set a I loved all the different designs. I bought the little sugar paste flowers and cupcakes from Sainsburys and again they were pretty cheap. For the icing I used pink and purple food colouring and then swirled this together although you can't see it too well on the photos.

The recipe for these cakes is the same as for my Lucky Charm Milkshake Cupcakes which I posted last month so I won't write it again but it's very straight forward and only requires a couple of ingredients. Have you been baking anything fun recently?

The £5 Triangl Bikini Dupe

When Triangl bikinis started popping up all over Instagram last summer I convinced myself that I needed one. But although my heart said yes, my head said no, because at the end of the day spending almost £100 on a bikini is just silly. Now don't get me wrong I'm all for investment pieces and choosing quality over quantity, Chanel bag = yes, Valentino shoes = yes, but a bikini that I'll probably wear on one holiday then get bored? Na. I'd seen a few Triangl copies around on the high street but the style I really liked was the metallic rose gold, and no one was doing that, so off I went to eBay to search of cheaper alternatives.

Within about 30 seconds I'd found LOADS on eBay in every style and colour you could imagine, and the prices? Ridiculously low. I knew it would be a risk buying from eBay, the quality could be awful and it might not even turn up, but I decided that £4.89 wasn't too much to risk so I placed my order and eagerly awaited. It took about 3 weeks to arrive as it was coming from China and I was so excited when it was finally delivered, if not a little nervous.

To my surprise, and delight, the bikini was fantastic! It feels like real neoprene and is good quality. Unfortunately unlike Triangl you have to buy the same size top and bottom, which doesn't work for most women. As I wasn't sure about the size and had heard neoprene was rather snug I ordered a medium, when I would normally be a small. The bottoms fit perfectly, the top is a little bit big but it's fine, so I would suggest ordering a size up from your regular size. I was so impressed that I went straight back and ordered a second one from the same seller in a different style, which I'm now waiting for. I can't wait to wear them in Florida! If you'd like to take a look then the bikini I bought is this one
