Cocktail Club

Me and Olly had a big bottle of Hendricks gin in our cupboard so last weekend we decided to hold our own cocktail club and make some summery gin cocktails! I did a little google search to find a couple of recipes and found 3 we fancied trying. I bought a funky little cocktail shaker from Tiger for £3 and it even has flashing lights, winner.

Hendrick's Summer Mule
This was our favourite out of the 3, it tasted a bit like a mojito (which is my favourite cocktail). I got the recipe from the Hendrick's website and it was pretty straight forward. I'm not one for following recipes so we just bought the ingredients and threw them all in rather than measuring. We served them in these cute little milk bottles that I picked up from Tiger for £1 each

Ingredients
  • Gin
  • Lime juice
  • Elderflower cordial
  • Mint leaves
  • Cucumber
  • Ginger beer

Blueberry Fizz
I love blueberries so thought this sounded perfect but it didn't turn out quite right (although we think we added too much tonic?). How pretty does the colour look though? It made a lovely pink, alas the colour was the best thing about it. We served it in this jam jar glass from Urban Outfitters

Ingredients
  • Gin
  • Lime juice
  • Tonic
  • Basil
  • Blueberries

Raspberry G&T
This is basically just a g&t but with raspberries added. To be honest the raspberries didn't add too much flavour but hey they looked pretty. I think this works better with strawberries but Waitrose had sold out, so raspberries it was. The cool flamingo cocktail stirrers were £2 for a pack from (you guessed it..) Tiger

Ingredients
  • Gin
  • Tonic
  • Raspberries
