How To Make Mini Kawaii Cat Donuts

I have seen loads of these cute kawaii cat donuts around on pinterest and instagram but couldn't find anywhere in London that sold them and since unfortunately I'm not planning a trip to Tokyo anytime soon it looked like I was just going to have to make them myself! They were really easy and looked super cute

What You'll Need...
Mini Donuts - you can either make these or buy them, I'm a rubbish cook so I bought a pack from Tesco for £1.50
White chocolate
Milk chocolate
Icing pens
Chocolate hearts for ears - you can use anything triangle shaped really but I found some Dr Oetker mini hearts in Tesco that were perfect. I just cut the top of the hearts off

What To Do...
Melt white and milk chocolate in separate bowls in the microwave
Chop the tops off the chocolate hearts to make triangle shapes
Dip each donut into the chocolate - use a spoon to make sure you've got a nice smooth and even layer. On some of them I used both colours to make a patchy cat
While the chocolate is still gooey push the ears into the top
Put cat donut in the fridge for 1-2 hours
Once the chocolate is hard take them out the fridge and ice super cute cat faces. I found black icing was the most effective but I also used bright glittery icing for extra kawaii-ness

Have you made any kawaii foods or have you tried making cat donuts? I'd love you hear your comments below!
