Panda Nail Art

A few weeks ago I bought some nifty nail art dotting tools and couldn't wait to start creating funky designs with them. The first design I decided to try was cute little kawaii pandas, which I think turned out pretty well considering this was my first attempt!

I used the following nail varnishes...
♥  Essie Blanc'
♥  Burberry 'Poppy Black'
♥  Essie 'Stone n'Roses'
♥  Deborah Lipmann 'On a Clear Day' top coat

1. Paint nails with base coat
2. Paint a white semi circle on the top third of your nail to create the pandas head - I did two coats to make sure the white was nice and solid
3. Use the largest dotter tool to make the ears, eyes and nose with black nail varnish
4. Use a smaller dotter tool to make the white of the panda eye
5. Use the smallest dotting tool to create the pupil of the eye with the black - this can be a bit tricky so you'll need a steady hand!
6. Use a medium size dotter to paint some little rosy cheeks with pink nail varnish
7. Wait until all of the nail varnish is fully dry and then finish with a top coat

Have you tried any cute animal nail art? I'd love to hear if you have!

  4. Oh I think I might be in love with these little pandas! They're so adorable. I always struggle to find a good white polish, I find them thick, gloopy and difficult to work with. Would you recommend Blanc?

    1. Would definitely recommend Essie! Mines actually about a year old so its gone a bit gloopy, I need to re-buy it! But it's a good solid colour and goes on well x

    1. I'm not very good either to be honest I'm surprised these turned out so well on my first attempt, I usually get too impatient and smudge them before they're dry! x
