Disney Princess Takeover: Cinderella Cookies

Welcome to my Disney Princess take over! I hope you like my snazzy little logo re-vamp for this week only :)

Last weekend I made the cutest cookies that ever existed, no lie. During one of my usual eBay browsing sessions I stumbled upon some incredible Disney cookie cutters and knew they needed to be mine. After much deliberation over which princess dress cutter to purchase I went for Cinderella, and got a Disney castle cutter too! The cutters are from America but delivery was really fast, less than a week.

I then went on the search for some pink and blue icing, which I found from Amazon and ironically arrived later than the cutters even though it was from the UK! If you saw my Panda Cookies post then the recipe and method I used for these biscuits was pretty much the same except this time I had the added fun of icing. All of the biscuits took me about 2 hours in total but I made A LOT of them, so it would be quicker if you made less. To add extra magicalness I dusted the cookies with edible glitter but unfortunately it hasn't shown up very well in the pictures.

♥ 60g butter
♥ 60g sugar
♥ 160g flour
♥ 1 egg
Ready to roll icing
Edible glitter
Icing tubes
Edible butterflies

♥ Mix butter and sugar in a bowl until smooth
♥ Add 1 beaten egg
♥ Add flour gradually and mix to form a dough
♥ Wrap dough in cling film and put in the fridge for half an hour
♥ After half an hour take the dough out of the fridge and roll out using a rolling pin
♥ Carefully cut the shapes out and place on a a tray covered in grease proof paper
♥ Put in the oven for 10 minutes at 170c

♥ Roll out icing using a rolling pin on a surface dusted with icing sugar
Carefully cut out shapes using the same cutters as for the biscuits - for the Cinderlla dress you get an additional stamp which creates the pleats in the dress
Stick icing onto biscuits using icing tubes
Dust icing with edible glitter
To finish the Cinderella dress I used little edible white butterflies
Marvel at how beautiful your biscuits are, ahhhh
