My First Blogging Event: Vichy Laboratoires

Last week I attended my first every blogging event, which was pretty exciting for me. I know there are probably many other small bloggers like me who have never been to an event before and wouldn't know what to expect so I thought I'd tell you about my experience.

First of all how did I get an invite? Well actually I was lucky that my friend Daisy runs a successful blog, Cupcakes and Cherries, and so often gets invited to blogger events and asked me if I'd like to go to the Vichy event with her. It was held on a Tuesday night near Oxford Street but as Daisy and I both work in London it wasn't out of our way to get to.

When we arrived we were checked off on the list and told there was a bar at the back, yum. I had a spiced giner mojito and Daisy had a strawberry bellini. There were also lots of canapes going around so we munched on mini goats cheese and beetroot tarts, mini fish & chip cones and mini artichoke, sundried tomato and olive bruschetta. There was also an amazing cake pop display which were incredibly yummy.

The room looked stunning and there were products suspended in cylinders filled with ice. Everyone was really lovely and talked us through the different product ranges and what the benefits were of each one. After we had chance to look around at the new products we were given a goody bag which included Vichy's new Skin Sleep recovery night balm and then we had the opportunity to select 3 full size products from the Vichy range to take home. Here's a quick look at what I got...

Idealia Skin Sleep - this is a night balm which is great if you haven't had enough sleep or have had interrupted sleep, it helps to replicate the natural skin renewal process that happens over night
Normaderm Night Detox - use this if your skins gets oily over night and can look shiny when you wake up. Helps to fight the shine!
Dermablend Foundation - I'm really excited to try this, it's a high coverage foundation that lasts for 16 hours. It also has an SPF of 35 which I think is great
SPF 50 Tinted BB Cream - I thought this was really interesting as it's actually part of the skincare range but is a BB cream. Basically you would use this instead of a greasy sun cream on your face which is a great idea

Overall I really enjoyed the event and would love the opportunity to attend more blogging events in future. Did you go to the Vichy event or have you been to any other blogging events recently?
