Our London Flat

Everyone loves having a nosey at other people's homes, I know I do! I love reading other people's blogs about their home and how they've decorated it, so I thought I would write a post about mine and Olly's little London flat and my favourite things about it.

Living Room
We live in a Victorian conversion which means we have high ceilings and big windows. We also have two original fireplaces, one in the living room and one in the bedroom which I love. Some of my favourite pieces in the living room include the vintage Champagne box and vintage rose coloured primary school chair. I bought them both from a stall at our local market in Richmond and they are so pretty.

The duck egg blue frame is from Primark and was a bargain at only £4. Inside I've put 4 different Cath Kidston postcards and they're quite sentimental to me and Olly as he bought them for me as  present on our second date.

Bedroom
My favourite piece of furniture in our entire flat is my dressing table. Before moving into this flat I'd lived in furnished rented properties for 8 years, so when we had the opportunity to buy all our own furniture and decorate the flat how we wanted I was so excited. I'm lucky to have enough space in our bedroom for a dressing table as a lot of London flats can be very small.

The Chanel No.5 print was a birthday present from Olly and sits on the fireplace in our bedroom. Our Ikea bed is the comfiest bed I have ever slept in and I absolutely love the girly bed frame. My most recent addition to the bedroom is a lovely picture of the Disney castle which I bought from Kayley Draws - it is such a lovely drawing and is so me! I'm very lucky that Olly doesn't really mind what our flat looks like and he's more than happy for me to decorate it with lots of pretty things. What's your favourite part of your home? Let me know in the comments below :)

*All these pictures were taken at different times I honestly don't have that many flowers in my flat at once haha! I usually just have 1 or 2 bunches in the living room and bedroom :) *

    1. I've always lived in new builds until I moved into this flat, I didn't realise how lovely Victorian buildings can be! I used to be really against old properties but I was so wrong. They're also built so well x

    1. I know that's what I love about it! It's definitely the brightest and most spacious flat I've lived in in London, other flats I've lived in have felt a bit dark and claustrophobic x
