Panda Cookies

As the new series of Great British Bake Off starts tomorrow (yay!) I thought I would do a little bit of baking so I decided to make these incredibly kawaii panda cookies. I bought the cookie cutters at Hyper Japan from the Tofu Cute stall and you can buy them here if you're interested in giving them a go yourself. They were super easy to make and only took 10 minutes in the oven, here's the recipe I followed...

Ingredients
60g butter
60g sugar
155g flour
5g coco powder
1 egg

Method
Mix butter and sugar in a bowl until smooth
Add 1 beaten egg
Separate mixture into 2 bowls
To one half add 80g of flour and mix
To the other half add 75g of flour and 5g coco powder and mix
Once mixed to form a dough wrap each portion in cling film and put in the fridge for half an hour
After half an hour take the dough out of the fridge and roll out using a rolling pin
Carefully cut the shapes out and assemble on a a tray covered in grease proof paper
Put in the oven for 10 minutes at 170c
Eat and enjoy! Yum

  11. These are gorgeous! Will definitely have to look into buying myself a set too. I saw the picture on my bloglovin feed and thought, well, I'll look, but no way can I ever make these myself - maybe I actually can this time!

    1. Yeah everyone thinks they must be really complicated to make but it's just cookie cutters really! The first few you make might be a bit tricky and fall apart but once you've made a few it gets much easier x
