POP Bakery

I tried the most amazing cake pops recently at the Vichy event and being the cake fiend that I am I knew I had to track down who made these delicious cake pops so I could buy more! It turns out they were made by POP Bakery in London and after browsing all of their amazing designs on the website (seriously, they have a Chanel bag cake pop!) I saw that you could go into the bakery and paint your own pops. Well I was sold and booked immediately haha.

Me and Olly went on a Saturday afternoon and the shop was nice and quiet which we liked. The shop itself is so cute, full of pom pom garlands and sparkly pinatas -  I wanted it all! It cost £15 each which included 3 cake pops for you to paint and all the paints, equipment etc. We got to choose which 3 cake pops we wanted to paint and I chose unicorn, nail varnish and teddy bear. Olly chose the unicorn, bear and tiger. All of the pops are plain and ready for you to decorate however you like.

We had a selection of pastel and bright coloured paints and some shimmery edible glitter as well. As you can see below Olly had a little bit of an accident with his bear, who ended up looking a bit like a bronzed panda! In total it took us about an hour but there's no rush and the atmosphere is very relaxed. When you've finished painting all your pop's they are packaged in a cute little leopard print box ready for you to take home and they last about a week if you keep them in the fridge.

I would definitely recommend this as an activity, we had so much fun and it was really relaxing. You can also book to have a party there which I think is a great idea. Check out Pop Bakery here

Do you like cake pops or have you tried making or decorating them before?
