Disney Marie Cookies

Marie from the Aristocats is one of my favourite Disney characters, so when I found these cookie cutters on eBay I got all excited about making little Marie cookies. You get the main cookie cutter to cut out the shape of the biscuit and then a stamp to print her face. There are two different faces - one with her eyes open and one with them closed. As there was no icing involved in these biscuits they were really quick and easy to make. I used the same recipe as for my panda cookies and Cinderella cookies, but I've listed it below again in case you were wondering. I served mine with a glass of cold milk with a stripey straw, of course. Aren't they just the cutest?

Ingredients
♥ 60g butter
♥ 60g sugar
♥ 160g flour
♥ 1 medium egg

Method
♥ Mix butter and sugar in a bowl until smooth
♥ Add 1 beaten egg
♥ Add flour gradually and mix to form a dough
♥ Wrap dough in cling film and put in the fridge for half an hour
♥ After half an hour take the dough out of the fridge and roll out using a rolling pin
♥ Carefully cut the shapes out and place on a a tray covered in grease proof paper
♥ Put in the oven for 10 minutes at 170c

  10. Ohhh Marie! How adorable are these and super simple it seems, I'm rubbish with icing so these would be ideal for me. I never think of buying baking things from eBay.. I can see a Sunday bidding session on the horizon!

    1. These were so easy to make, I've done a few icing ones recently and although there weren't difficult they were quite time consuming but these were so quick. Ebay is so good for baking stuff, I buy all my cutters from there :) x
