Alice In Wonderland Cupcakes

When I found these silicon teacup cake cases in Wilkinsons I just knew I had to make some Alice in Wonderland cupcakes! I don't make cakes too often, I'm much more into biscuit baking but I thought I would try expanding my baking skills. Now I totally cheated with the decorations, I am certainly not skilled enough to make sugar teapots, but fortunately some people are and so you can buy pre-made ones, yay! I also bought white roses which I painted red using food colouring and little mini toad stools. The Alice In Wonderland decorations are sugar paper which I bought from eBay and I think they really make the cakes. I don't think they're bad for a first attempt and were pretty yummy too.

Ingredients

♥ 110g soft butter

♥ 110g caster sugar 

♥ 110g self raising flour

♥ 2 eggs

♥ Pink icing

♥ Decorations

Method

♥ Pre heat your oven to 180C/gas mark 4

♥ Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl 

♥ Beat the eggs and then mix them in

♥ Gradually fold in the flour until all the ingredients are combined

♥ Spoon the mix into cake cases evenly

♥ Pop in the over for about 10 minutes

♥ Once fully cooled ice/decorate 

Now I feel like having a mad hatter's tea party so I can serve these!
